An Incomplete List of Books and Movies I Love (September)
Newly published and forthcoming books I'm excited for, movie and tv I've been devouring, and songs that are on a constant loop in my noise canceling headphones.

Books that are coming out in the six months:
Mackenzie Reed’s second YA Thriller, The Wilde Trials is exes to allies, it’s dark academia in a spooky forest, it’s fighting your classmates to secure your future (and also maybe to keep your life?). It’s perfect and you can add it on Goodreads and also preorder it. (It comes out January ‘25.)
Another upcoming YA I love is Inheritance of Scars by Crystal Seitz. It’s Norse Mythology, undead love interests, spooky forests, and Chron’s disease rep! (It comes out October ‘24.)

TV and Movies I’m Enjoying:
Chimp Crazy, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, Living For the Dead, Pop Star Academy: Katseye, and Hotel Del Luna
Chimp Crazy - When I tell you I have never gasped so many gasps in an hour of television as I did while watching the second episode. This is a documentary from the same guy who did Tiger King and it is somehow even wilder (no pun intended).
Secret Lives of Mormon Wives - I was not privy to #MomTok scandal as it was happening, but seeing this makes me wish I had been because this show is scandalous and messy and I cannot look away.
Living For The Dead - Queer Eye meets ghost hunting with an all queer cast and a Kristen Stewart narration worthy of Twilight? Count me the fuck in. We watched this when it came out last fall, but it is now my spooky season rewatch until the end of time. It is so spooky and so heartfelt and so queer and I am obsessed with every member of this cast.
Pop Star Academy - There is something about tv showing behind the scenes of the music industry that makes me go feral. Fictional. Documentary. It doesn’t matter, I eat it up, and this show documenting the intense training process and survival show that led to the creation of Katseye was everything I wanted.
Hotel Del Luna - I love this show and I’m only 3/4 of the way in despite having been watching it for over a year. I keep having to stop because I just KNOW the ending is going to devastate me and I’m not ready.
Music On Repeat:
I made you a playlist! My Summer 2024 mix that’s filled with the things that are on repeat in my AirPods.
I have some exciting books on my Netgalley TBR:
I haven’t read them yet, but just know I am FERAL.
The Favorites by Layne Fargo, Don’t Let The Forest In by C.G. Drews, Scam Goddess by Laci Mosley, Needy Little Things by Channelle Desamours, The Wildest Things by Andrea Hannah, and Lucy Undying by Kiersten White
