Kat Korpi

Writing for adults and older teens across multiple genres, there are three things that act as a true north for Kat as she writes:

1. Sapphics who don't need to be saved
but probably need to go to therapy.
2. Unhinged moments that make her look in the mirror and say, "what the hell is wrong with me?"
3. The beating heart of her stories that make her readers go
"oh, I'm not alone in that" in both heart-warming and bone-chilling ways.

Before she made her way into writing novels, Kat spent a decade working on movies and television in everything from Mission Impossible to talk shows to a summer producing MTV's Are You The One? (she's still salty that she worked on the only AYTO season that didn't fly her to an island to film). Her love of the cinematic impacts the way she tells stories, and she's always striving to make heartbreak feel good (and make AMC Theater's Nicole Kidman proud).

Projects

OTHER PEOPLES LIVES is a sapphic Romantic Thriller that's Riley Sager's Lock Every Door meets a lesbian John Tucker Must Die.

Out of options, a nomadic pet sitter is forced to accept a job in the city she barely escaped. But when she discovers she has a surprising connection to the owners, she has to enlist the help of the woman who lives next door to figure out why she was hired and ensure her life doesn’t end before her pet sit does.

WORSE THAN HER BITE is a sapphic Paranormal Romcom that is Ali Hazelwood's Bride meets Meryl Wilsner's Something To Talk About.

With one final chance to save her failing career, a tv producer takes a job on a talk show whose host has left a string of producers with gutted careers in her wake. They need to work together to save both their careers (impossible since they can barely be in the same room without being at each other’s throats), but when the internet goes feral for a leaked video of them fighting, the head of the tv network tells them the only way to keep their show is to fake date for ratings. As the lines between real and fake begin to blur in their relationship, the host’s secret comes howling into public view and Macon finds herself with a choice to make: save her career or follow her feelings for her fake girlfriend.
